What does Sunrise Baptist Church Children’s ministry do?
Children’s ministry covers all the ways we serve God’s children here at Sunrise Baptist Church. Sunday morning and throughout the week, from newborn to 6th grade, there are many opportunities. Children’s Ministries
-
Nursery
From newborn to 2 yrs old, our nursery workers take the utmost care of your child and pray over them as you enjoy the Sunday morning services of Sunrise. If they have any issues you will receive a text message on your mobile device.
-
2 & 3 Year Olds
Our 2 and 3 year olds volunteers lovingly take care of this class, praying with them, reading them a bible story, sharing a snack, singing songs, and engaging in developmentally appropriate play.
-
Children's Church
Children 4 years through kindergarten begin the worship service sitting with their families in the sanctuary. They engage in corporate worship through singing and praying. When the sermon begins, they are dismissed to go to Children’s Church with a trained volunteer. They hear a bible story, sing songs, play games in the gym, and complete a craft all centered around the Bible Story being taught.
-
Children's Sunday School
Children ages 4 years old to 6th grade are placed in age groups to study and learn about the Bible with their peers and passionate teachers. Each morning starts with singing worship songs together in the gym before breaking off into their various classrooms where they pray and grow spiritually together.
-
AWANA
On Wednesday evenings from September through April, kids 3 years through 6th grade gather together from 6:30-8:00. AWANA evenings are filled with large group bible lessons, games, and Bible memorization.
